Bacon Loves Everyone! is unlike any other picture book I have read in all my years of teaching young children. The heart-warming message of kindness, belonging, and love combined with colorful, bold illustrations captured my kindergarten students’ attention from beginning all the way to the happy ending. They were “oohing” and “ahhing”, giggling, and participating in the predictable onomatopoeic rhythm of each animal Bacon encountered on his journey to find his forever home and had them chanting, “Read it again”, over and over.
The delightful rhythm, repetition, and loveable characters make this a heart-warming read-aloud I will share with my students and any parents of young children for many years to come.
